For some 10 years, intra-operative MRI has been a reality. Many of us who have adopted this technology believe passionately in its utility and potential. We seek a framework in which the pros and cons of various technical approaches can be discussed and knowledge shared. To this end, the IOI Society has been formed.
Our 2nd annual meeting took place in June 2009. While the formation of the Society and our first annual meeting last year, we have been generously underwritten by Medtronic Navigation, let it be clear the purpose of the Society is not to promote any particular technology used for intraoperative imaging. We look forward to seeing all users of iMRI, iCT, iUS and iXR at our next meeting.
